David Evans

David started his first company in 2000, working with South Australia’s world class Arts and Entertainment Industry in the area of digital media production. He Identified the StarPlayit opportunity while working with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra on several digital projects to attract younger audiences. David has presented at major technology conferences in the US and Australia including both the DEMO conference and O’Reilly’s Web2.0 Summit. His innovation has been awarded by ANZATech, winning the inaugural Guy Manson award; the Australian Secrets of IT Innovation Competition in the Learning category; and representing South Australia at G’day USA Innovation Shoot Out in New York.
Chris Matters

An ex Specialist Music Teacher, curriculum writer and examiner with the SA Department of Education, Chris Matters also holds an MBA. Prior to StarPlayit, Chris was the Program Director for the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, from 2001 until 2008, whose main role is to develop new and innovative means to generate revenue for the orchestra. Chris has worked with StarPlayit and Digital Monkey since its technology conception phase and has been the key driver of music and curriculum for StarPlayit. Chris brings over 8 years of experience as the Education and Audience Development Manager Adelaide Symphony Orchestra with responsibility to create, develop and manage the ASO Education and Audience Program. This program operated as a complete business entity covering all aspects of the work of the ASO and reached audiences from 4 years to 84 years old. Education Program attendances between 1992 and 1999 increased from 2000 to 20,000 people annually.
Doug Hardy
Chief Architect
Doug began his career at Ngapartji Multimedia Centre where he planned, implemented and supported the nineMSN network at the EDS data centre. Following this Doug was Chief Architect on a number of large scale websites for government, garnering him numerous awards, culminating in the creation of an advanced web services system for the Microsoft Innovation Centre. Doug is an accomplished musician, highly skilled in piano and guitar. At StarPlayit, prior to his promotion to Chief Architect, Doug managed user experience design web services infrastructure.

Mark Jeffries
Director
Mark Jeffries represents StarPlayit’s largest investor. Prior to retiring in 2000 to concentrate on private investments, Mark spent 12 years as a corporate and tax partner of a national law firm. While practicing law he formed and led a successful IT and telco legal consulting practice working on technology, telco, and due diligence projects for central government, multinationals and corporations. Mark is a board member of several privately held technology companies; a director of Massey University’s incubator based in New Zealand; and has had a number of high profile governance roles. Mark has an LLB and Master of Taxation (Hons) from the University of Auckland, New Zealand and has co-authored international publications on M&A Law (1990) and Telecommunications in the Pacific Rim (1998).
Andrew Edwards
Director
Andrew Edwards is the second board member to represent StarPlayit’s largest shareholder. Andrew is the Chief Investment Officer for a large private investment group based in New Zealand responsible for a wide ranging portfolio of property, manufacturing, biotechnology and IT investments. Prior to joining this group Andrew had over 20 years of senior investment banking roles in New Zealand, Australia and the UK with market leading organisations such as Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs. Andrew lead and managed a range of M&A, capital raising and advisory transactions in a range of industries.
Greg Hinton
Director
Greg is an experienced businessman and company director. Greg comes from a chartered accountancy background and has over 30 years business experience in property, healthcare and retirement industries. Greg is a director of a number of private companies and is a director of Housing New Zealand.
Dr Wolfgang Kissel
Director
Wolfgang is an executive with some 20 years of experience in Life Science industries and entrepreneurial ventures, of which 15 years have been with global responsibilities and projects. Over the years he has specialised in executing strategies and people management, become experienced in developing organisational capabilities, competitive advantages and people performance. His track record includes change leadership, talent management, M&A integration and leading people and teams. With his family Wolfgang has lived and worked in various European countries and he has worked in the USA. Wolfgang have a scientific educational background. His work ethic and values are respect, reliability and trust, fairness, collaboration, merit and contribution.
Greg Siegele
Investor
Greg Siegele was Chief Executive of Ratbag, a video game developer that sold over two million games he co-founded in 1993. Greg is now busy managing his portfolio of investments after selling Ratbag to Midway in 2005. Greg is now an active investor in StarPlayit.
