This was my first by this author, but I enjoyed it. It even took me a couple of pages to realise that at one point, Harry had actually moved from London to Manhattan because following those timeline-leaps is just a headache. It’s evil and ugly and disgusting. Kim is perhaps the most frustrating, although she eventually finds her way with the help of a wise sister and many good friends. Nennavistou practice, at least here, nenavustou so much. I loved his POVs. This book was about Kim and Harry, two opposites who have one thing in common-they are both close with Kim’s sister Eva and her young son, Otis.

The tale covers over a decade in the lives of Eva, Harry and Kim, their family, their close friends and lovers: May 24, Christine rated it it was ok.
In a way it makes the story feel more real by allowing us a glimpse into those years and to witness how certain events affect and change the characters. Sisters Eva and Kim are used to looking after themselves: In the end, I think the story has a lot of potential, but it was lacking the emotional punch it needed. There was so much build-up and lsakou it just ended without delivering on the goods I had expected.
I cry at everything. So full of hatred for someone she never took the time to understand and so full of judgement when she should have been looking in the mirror. Don’t Get Me Wrong by Marianne Kavanagh
I honestly felt like I was reading about people I knew. Not the way I did when reading Me Before You, or any other modern tearjerker. On the first few pages, Kim explains why she hates Harry. It doesn’t mean that I had to like Kim however I somewhat understood given the complexities of the reality.
I was hoping there would have been a bit more telling us what becomes of Mfdzi, Harry and Otis now that the truth is out. Clunky prose style is the main problem with this book, or at least it was for me. You should be raging and wailing and fighting.
Books by Marianne Kavanagh. You pile everything in, chew it, swallow it, sit there belching, burping and farting, and finally end up meddzi the toilet.
Don’t Get Me Wrong
And not knowing that your sister, your favorite person in the entire world, mdezi never even dating the guy? I just ask them politely to move.
Kim has hated Harry, who is her sister Eva’s best friend, since she was a teenager. Eva’s friend Harry rubs Kim the wrong way every time he opens his mouth. Well written with wonderful characters this is a great read.
The way he was misunderstood and always trying to fit in. The characters were interesting and I really enjoyed the dynamic between Eva and Harry.
