Alas, I have already returned the phone. And of course there is also the fact that the Wi was Sonyericsson’s 1st Walkman phone. It’s not a big deal, but it does mean that I can’t just glance at the phone to check the time, or see if I’ve missed a message or something, I actually have to press a key to activate the screen again. After reading all these comments about Wi,I have come to the conclusion that this phone has some software issues which will eventually be resolved by SE engineers by the time it reaches US market. Unless you find a physical problem I strongly suggest you just hold on to it and wait for updates or like me, you may end up getting one with actual physical problems. Several people have this flashing light problem, including myself.

According to the person I spoke to? I guess I’ll just fricsson to hold out until I get a new one issued It wasn’t f,ash the flashing flash that was the problem it was the fact it totally crashed and the screen started flashing continously too.
Having called O2 to get a replacement I was told SE have slowed the release of the phones. Open the file explorer on your mobile phone, go to the folder on your memory card, select the SIS-file and click on it.
I think the reason there are so many bugs is because they put an update feature on the phone SE probabaly didn’t worry too much about them because they could be fixed later on and so they could release the phone earlier.

SE phones are known for software issues. It does have one little annoyance though. There were also reports of massive recall in Taiwan.
Several people have this flashing light problem, including myself. However, when I try this on the phone, all i get is the option to send the file.
Sony Ericsson Firmware
Is there any way of changing this? For now, I’m stuck with my old si and no contacts – the wi allows you to back them up to the memory smart card, but this being a more advanced version than the one rovided with the old phone, I can’t even upload my contacts back to it.
I’ve been ericsson Ericsson and SE phones for almost 10 years and as usual am mighty impressed with the upgrade. I got a brand new wi from O2 UK a couple of weeks ago.
Sony Ericsson W810I Flash Files
Bugs in early software are to be expected but you’d think SE wouldhave tested things out more! Newest first Oldest first Best rating. Huawei Mate 20 review. For all you folks in the UK, I have been speaking to O2 for quite a while now. However, when I got up to my phones alarm, I found my phone had crashed and was in an endless cycle of flashing a white screen. Last night after having tried to use the camera I found the flash to be, well flashing. People in US have complained that unlocked phone has some problem working with Cingular networks. There is no option to run or install.
Unless you find a physical problem I strongly suggest you just hold on to it and wait for updates or like me, you may end up getting one with actual physical problems. Using Walkman is secondary. I recently upgraded to the wi, and I have to say, I’m liking it a lot. All you guys can do now is return the phone to SE and they will reload the software.
I have the Wi and the only difference with the Wi and the Wi is of course the colour, and the music buttons put on the front as opposed to the sides. When you stop using the phone, the screen shuts down and goes totally black, as if the phone has been turned off. Now the install process will begin.
Has anymone managed to install an application. I could find nothing in the settings to prevent this from happening nor any documents online to diagnose the problem. The speed of the menus and overall features of the phone make it a great upgrade from my old si. The best O2 can offer me is a ki. There’s no other phone in those two unique colours.
